Change It respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Change It Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") will tell you how we look after your personal data when you visit our website, and informs you of your privacy rights.

What Personal Data Do We Process?

We require your email address to authenticate you after you sign up. After that, you may choose to enter your name, a web address, a brief description of yourself and a profile picture. This information is shown to people when they scan your code, in order to encourage more donations. This information can be removed at any time, and will be referred to as "Personal Data" throughout this document.

Note that any payment information you provide is handled by Stripe. We never see any of your payment details. To see Stripe's privacy policy, you can go here.

We use a third party service called Shopify to allow you to purchase signs, cards and stickers from us. This means that when you provide information like a delivery address, Shopify will process that data and not Change It. To see Shopify's privacy policy, you can go here.

What Device and Usage Data Do We Process?

We use common information-gathering tools, such as log files and cookies to collect information from your device as you navigate our website, or interact with emails we have sent you.

The information collected in log files may contain your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device identification numbers, your location, your browser type, the pages you have viewed and date/time stamps associated with your usage. This information is used to analyze overall trends, to help us provide and improve our website and to guarantee its security and proper functioning.

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site.

It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, time zone and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

We use cookies for identification. They are a necessary part of our website, as they allow you to login, setup your payment details and edit your profile. You can delete or block cookies at any time using your web browser. But if you do, the website may not function as intended.

The cookie related information is completely under our control, and the cookies are not used for any other purpose than those described here.

Who Do We Share Your Personal Data With?

We do not share your personal data with any third party service. As stated above, your name, description and profile picture will be shown to those donating to you. This is to build confidence for those donating, and to provide assurance about where their money is going.

How Long Do We Keep Your Data?

We retain your data for a period of time consistent with the original purpose of collection. This means that we only keep your data as long as your account is active, or until you remove the data manually, by editing your profile. You can delete your account at any time.

You have certain rights regarding your personal data, subject to local data protection laws. These may include the following rights:
